I was super excited to make our own coffee and breakfast this morning. We all slept in until 8, then had some eggs, sausage, toast, and coffee. Then we relaxed a little bit before getting ready for the day.
Our only plan today was to drive the Going-to-the-Sun Road at Glacier National Park. It's a 50 mile road through the park, with a 3,431 ft. elevation gain. Fred did a fantastic job driving it, while I was hanging out the window taking pictures. He was only a little freaked out. We got out at several overlooks, including McDonald Lake, Jackson Glacier, and a small hike on the Trail of Cedars. It was overwhelmingly beautiful, and these pictures do it absolutely no justice!
I can't even describe how breathtaking it was. After finishing the drive through the park, we drove back to the cabin, grabbing dinner on the way. Now we're all chilling out, getting showers, and then settling in to watch a movie before bed.
Beautiful!
