Got up at 6 this morning, grabbed the hotel breakfast and Wicked AZ coffee again, and started a looong travel day!
My morning situation - cracked windshield, flannel shirt curtain, driving through the Navajo nation, listening to 90's country.
We passed some time by playing some drive.fm trivia games (we crushed the Harry Potter one). Surprisingly, we're all still getting along and like each other... but we still have three days to go! 😄 We are definitely ready to get home and snuggle Chewy though. Below is Fred's Chandler Bing face:
Two new states today - New Mexico and Colorado. We're back in daylight savings time now, so only two hours behind home.
We stopped at the Four Corners Monument and stood in Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado at the same time!
That was our only stop today, other than restroom/gas breaks. A lot of our drive today was through snow again. It got increasingly snowier in Colorado, as we drove through the Rio Grande Forest, hitting our highest elevation of the trip (Wolf Creek Pass - 10,856 ft). It was definitely an adventure!
It was a beautiful drive, but it definitely set us behind. We grabbed some In-N-Out burgers 😋 for a very late dinner before getting to the hotel at 10:45! The amount of people at In-N-Out that late was insane.
