Another miracle - we checked out of the hotel by 6:30 this morning! Grabbed some Panera for breakfast, and hit the road. The morning started off a little drizzly. We traveled back in time halfway through Indiana, when we crossed into the central time zone.
Our first stop today was in Chicago. The rainy weather cleared up just as we arrived, and we were able to walk around the city a little bit. Ella's our city kid - she loved it. The boys liked the giant bean, but were ready to get back to the country.
Cool beans. We headed back to the van, finished up Illinois, and crossed into Wisconsin, where we found a giant cowboy mouse who lost his cheese...
Then we headed across the Mississippi River into Minnesota, where we stopped for a short hike to an overlook of the river.
Finally, we grabbed dinner at Culver's and headed to Sioux Falls, SD for the night. Fred, Ella, and Ollie went for another swim at the hotel before bed.
